Case Studies

  • Client:

    Alternative Apparel
  • Objectives:

To conceptualize a completely original pop-up store environment with Alternative Apparel; to boost Alternative Apparel’s brand awareness among fashion-forward contemporary audience; to design and produce physical store environment in limited time window.
  • Strategy:

In House executed “Candy Dandy,” the first within the “15 Minutes” pop-up installation series at Fred Segal Flair in Santa Monica, which featured a collaboration between artist Matt Sohl and clothing brand Alternative Apparel. IHC created an entirely new visual concept, designed the fittings for the store and created detailed renderings of the space. We proposed the décor scheme of larger-than-life portraits used as floor-to-ceiling wallpaper, produced high-quality photographic panels, designed artist exhibition space, and installed all components before the grand opening.
  • Result:

The end result was a perfect environment for Alternative Apparel and artist Sohl to showcase their merchandise, and the opening party for “Candy Dandy” was at capacity; hundreds of visitors enjoyed the unique décor, sweet treats, branded gift bags and artfully styled merchandise. The environment, along with the party itself, received enthusiastic press coverage.
