For those of you attending CMJ this year, there is yet another reason to be in NYC as today is the grand opening of the Gucci pop-up store in Soho. Gucci is debuting limited edition footwear as well as the long anticipated  sneaker collaboration with Mark Ronson. As part of the Gucci Temporary-Icon campaign, designer Frida Giannini and the Grammy winning producer came up with a flashy sneaker that is more preppie than most had expected. In addition, 18 sneaker styles will debut with a special Gucci metal tag.  Pop-ups will stay open for 2 to 3 weeks in each of its 18 locations around the world with stops including Miami for Art Basil, London, Berlin, Paris, and Tokyo among others.

Ronson also worked with various artists on exclusive tracks for each store opening and all Gucci Ronson sneakers will come with a 12-inch vinyl record.
