Beatles x Comme des Garcons...

Who knew that Rei Kawakubo and The Beatles would ever "come together" (ouch, sorry) to create a magical mystery collab collection?  I'm liking how spare the tee designs are:

COMME des GARCONS and Apple Corps Ltd. are very excited to announce that they are working together to create a brand new collection under the label The Beatles x COMME des GARCONS. The collection, designed by Rei Kawakubo and inspired by the Beatles and all their magical creations, will consist primarily of bags, with other items added from time to time.

...and Barneys x Barton Perreira

Another neat joining of late is Barneys New York, Barton Perreria and, well, "Grey Gardens."  Barney's you know, and hip CA eyewear line Barton Perreira you should know (we love them and they're practically family, with some of their VIPs down the street from us at Stronghold, and with a new collection landing at Satine). But Grey Gardens? Mmm-hm. Barneys & B.P. were so in love with iconic filmmaker Albert Maysles (who did "Gimme Shelter" as well as "G.G.") that they combined forces to produce a high-end reproduction of his recognizable eyeglasses. Check out the nice touch of his signature engraved inside the frame.
